Honey – This is a thick, sticky, sweet liquid made by bees using the nectar of plant flowers. Nectar is a sweet liquid that bees suck out of the flowers with their long, tube-shaped tongues and store it in their hives.
According to its origin, honey is homogeneous (monofloral) – buckwheat, linden, etc. and multispecies (polyphlorine) – meadows, forest. Multidrug, especially coniferous, is more valuable to humans. It contains many more rare compounds that are valuable to humans. Honey contains 300-400 different biologically active compounds and substances.
Honey strengthens the immune system, regulates metabolic processes, is a tonic – provides energy, a great source of vitamins and minerals, helps to achieve better sports results, relieves cough, sore throat, helps regulate blood sugar and improves blood composition, heals wounds, burns, works as a probiotic (has six types of lactic acid bacteria and four types of bifidobacteria). Moisturizes and nourishes the skin, improves calcium absorption, improves mental and physical activity, soothes, relaxes, improves sleep, appetite, helps to balance the amount of minerals in the blood, helps to treat liver and kidney diseases, protects the digestive tract.
It is recommended for an adult to consume 2 – 3 teaspoons of honey per day. Not recommended for children under three years of age.
Honey with grape juice is a great remedy for joint pain, gout, arthritis. Appreciated products with honey l.e.: soap, lip balm, healing hair mask, body lotion. Heated honey above + 40 degrees loses its valuable properties.
